Stokes-Hodges Kia represents a significant project for a valued repeat client, featuring a two-story, 43,000-square-foot car dealership. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the latest standards and aesthetic requirements of the Kia brand. The exterior of the building showcases a modern design, utilizing a combination of glass, Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS), and Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) metal panels. These materials not only provide a sleek, contemporary look but also ensure durability and energy efficiency.

Inside, the dealership is equally impressive, with a layout that includes glass partitions for an open and airy feel, drywall partitions for defined spaces, and tile floors that are both functional and visually appealing. The interior features a large, expansive showroom designed to showcase Kia vehicles effectively, as well as 25 service bays tailored to accommodate various types of automotive service needs. The facility is primarily constructed from structural steel, complemented by some load-bearing masonry walls to provide the necessary support and stability.

A notable aspect of this project is the inclusion of advanced underground infrastructure to support a range of service bay equipment. This infrastructure encompasses alignment machines, tower lifts, in-ground lifts, pit drains, and trench drains, all integral to the operational efficiency of the service area. Our construction team played a crucial role in coordinating with the owner’s vendors to ensure that the building’s construction seamlessly integrated with all owner-furnished service bay equipment and Kia-specific requirements.

What makes this project particularly unique is that it represents the first ground-up Kia dealership in the USA designed to meet the new Kia image and brand standards. As a prototype for this updated branding, the project presented a range of construction and supply chain challenges. Our team was tasked with navigating and solving numerous construction details to adhere to the new design standards while managing the complexities of sourcing and implementing materials and equipment specific to this prototype.

Despite these challenges, our team’s expertise and dedication ensured the successful completion of the Stokes-Hodges Kia dealership, setting a benchmark for future Kia dealership projects across the country.
