Serenity Behavioral Health Crisis Center

Project Details

Allen+Batchelor Construction completed this new behavioral health facility for Serenity Behavioral Health Systems, delivering a purpose-built environment designed to support patient healing at every level of care. The contemporary single-story building features a striking exterior with teal accent panels, natural stone veneer, and a prominent canopy entry — creating a welcoming first impression while maintaining the operational requirements of a secure clinical setting.

Inside, the design carefully balances function with a calming, human-centered aesthetic. The reception area greets patients with warm wood-look flooring, custom millwork, and designer pendant lighting beneath a coffered ceiling detail. Therapeutic common areas — including group activity rooms, dining spaces, and de-escalation rooms — are outfitted with soft, durable furnishings in earthy greens and blues, with nature-inspired murals that promote a sense of calm. Patient rooms and behavioral health bathrooms are constructed to meet rigorous ligature-resistant standards, with safety-specific fixtures and finishes integrated seamlessly into the overall design. Throughout, the project reflects Allen+Batchelor’s experience delivering complex healthcare environments where patient safety and dignity are equally prioritized.
