A+B Construction completed this surgical facility for Burke Health, consisting of operating rooms and associated clinical support spaces designed to meet current healthcare and life safety standards. The four new OR’s were constructed immediately adjacent to their current surgery center which had to remain in operation throughout the construction process. Through careful planning and execution we were able to add these new operating rooms with zero operational impacts.
The project scope included the construction of four fully equipped operating rooms with integrated ceiling-mounted equipment, anesthesia, and surgical light booms along with medical gas systems, and specialized mechanical and electrical systems required for surgical environments.
Our healthcare construction team delivered a highly coordinated approach to meet the complex requirements of surgical environments. Mechanical systems were installed with precision to maintain strict pressurization, air changes, sterilization, and precise climate control. Electrical systems featured redundant power, integrated low-voltage infrastructure, and detailed equipment coordination to support uninterrupted clinical operations. Through close collaboration with vendors and consultants, we ensured seamless installation and optimal performance of all owner-furnished medical equipment.
