Complete renovation/conversation of an existing 10,000 SF bank building constructed in the mid 1980’s into 6,300 SF of new pulmonology clinical space, sleep labs, a 16 slice CT scanner, X-ray units and business and support spaces. Unique features included the use of the existing concrete bank vault as an X-ray suite eliminating the need for shielding, and the construction of new elevator pit and shaft which protruded through the roof to service the existing second floor. Allen+Batchelor provided pre-construction services including schematic cost estimates which were within 1.3% of final cost at project completion. The owner chose Allen+Batchelor as their partner in building their practice’s first owned facility, prior to this building they had been tenants in rented space.
